Who We Are

This website is operated by Scott Tonnesen for Mayor 2026 (FPPC #1493444), the campaign committee supporting Scott Tonnesen’s candidacy for Mayor of Fairfield, California. Information We Collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Depending on which form you use, that may include:

• Contact information — your name, mobile phone number, email address, ZIP code, or neighborhood.
• Consent records — when you opt in to text messages, we record that you checked the consent box, the exact consent language shown to you, and the date and time of your opt-in.
• Messages you send us — endorsement statements, event details, volunteer interests, and anything else you write in a form field or send us by email or text.
• Basic technical data — standard web server and hosting logs, which may include your IP address and browser type, used to keep the site working and to filter spam submissions.

Donations are processed on a separate site operated by our fundraising provider. Payment card details are never collected, seen, or stored by this website.

How We Use Your Information

• To send you the campaign updates, voter outreach, and event information you signed up for.
• To respond to your questions, endorsements, host offers, and volunteer sign-ups.
• To invite you to volunteer or to make a voluntary contribution to the campaign.
• To keep records required by California campaign finance law and by the rules governing text message programs.
• To protect the site against spam, fraud, and abuse.

Text Message Program

If you opt in on our mobile opt-in page, we use your mobile number to send informational SMS text messages about campaign updates and voter outreach, which may include requests for voluntary contributions. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency varies.

You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or get help by replying HELP. When you opt out, we mark your number as unsubscribed and stop sending campaign texts to it. Mobile numbers and opt-in records are shared only with the messaging vendors that deliver messages on our behalf, and only so they can deliver those messages. How We Share Information

Personally Identifiable Information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We do not rent, trade, or sell your information, and we do not exchange supporter lists with other campaigns, committees, or commercial organizations for marketing.

We share limited information only in these situations:

• Service providers. Vendors that operate this website, deliver our email and text messages, or process donations may handle your information solely to perform those services for us, under obligations to keep it confidential.
• Legal requirements. California law requires campaign committees to publicly report the name, address, occupation, and employer of contributors above certain thresholds. We also disclose information when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process.
• Information you ask us to publish. If you submit an endorsement and give us permission to publish it, your name, title or organization, and statement may appear on this website.

Data Security and Retention

Form submissions are transmitted over an encrypted connection and stored with our hosting provider, accessible only to campaign staff and volunteers who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. We keep information for as long as the campaign is active and afterward only as long as recordkeeping laws require.

Your Choices

• Texts: reply STOP to any message to end messages.
• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any campaign email.
• Access, correction, or deletion: email Scottformayor26@gmail.com and we will review and honor reasonable requests, except where we are legally required to retain a record.

Children

This website and our text program are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Material changes to how we use your information will be posted on this page.
